Background
In an era where brands are seeking power-saving solutions to meet ESG goals, digital signage must evolve, particularly commercial LCDs that consume significant electricity to maintain high brightness for visibility in sunlight.
Agile Display Solutions (ADS) firmly believes that e-paper displays will be the solution. E-paper displays are known for their extremely low power consumption, as they require no electricity to maintain displayed content and only a minimal amount to change content.
To better promote this product series, ADS aims to develop a content management system (CMS) that is user-friendly and visually appealing, thereby distinguishing itself from similar systems.
Concept
I first researched how users interact with the interfaces of other management systems. There are many details that differ from those of normal websites and apps. For example, placing the navigation bar on the left accommodates more functional pages, allowing users to become more immersed in their workflow due to the additional vertical space on the right.
The UI/UX is designed to be clean and straightforward. The content management system is intended to resemble a playlist, allowing users to quickly see how the content is arranged and intuitively rearrange it.
Develop
This is the first time team ADS has developed app products, so there was a lot of trial and error during the process. I used Figma to design the UI and then learned front-end development to create a static web version for the software team to build upon.
